While some of the negative reviews are too extreme, I agree that "Glamour Girls" is a deeply flawed effort. First, the "GGs" should have been listed alphabetically or chronologically. I just recommended this book to a friend who wanted depictions of clothes from 1650-1700. It really is a very good timeline of fashion. Also,the drawings are very colorful and full of detail. A worthwhile investment for anyone who's interested in costuming or European history.
